Trust in Your Potential - Inspirational Card

At my Church, we spotlight a woman every Sunday. I volunteered to make an inspirational card to give to all those being spotlighted. I saw a card like this (sorry I don't have the link) and I loved the quote so I had to make some cards with this quote on it. I thought this was a good quote to start off a new year with. Here are the colors I used. I am sure any color would look fabulous.

The plant was cut by a Cricut from the cartridge "Lyrical Letters" page 66, size 3 1/2.
When I sew on a card, I intentionally don't go straight and I backstitch at every corner.
Download and print the card below and give it a try.

Spread Your Wings and Fly Card

I love inspiring and motivating sayings, so it is a given that I love inspiring and motivating cards. I found the inspiration for these cards on Niki Estes blog that you can go to by clicking HERE.
My cards are not as fancy, but I did about six cards in an hour. I love the different colors you can play with.

I cut out the butterfly from the "Give a Hoot" Cricut cartridge on page 76. The size was 1 1/2. I did a white shadow for the orange card, but I liked just the black butterfly on the aqua and blue card. I printed the text out on my computer and drew on the border and the butterfly trail. I added on two jewels.

Thanks for looking!

"Don't Forget" Cards

I made some cards to give away to the young women at my church when we spotlight them in our women's meeting on Sunday. This card was inspired by a card I had seen online (sorry - don't recall where I found it). I made the sayings on my computer and colored the lettering with puffy ink.

One Card, Three Different Flower Styles

I saw the idea for this card on a blog a while ago and saved the image, but I don't know who to give the credit to, sorry. I wanted to use up some older paper, and I wanted to try different flowers on each card so I could try a couple tutorials I had bookmarked.
The first flower from a tutorial is a circle punch flower. I used this tutorial
http://cbyar.blogspot.com/2010/02/circle-punch-flower-tutorial.html
as the start of my flower, but I added another petal and curled up the circles a bit.
The second tutorial I did was a scallop punch flower tutorial
http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/paper_scissors_and_superh/2010/03/make-your-own-spring.html
I used a sheer ribbon so it is a little hard to see in the picture the different dimensions this flower has.
The third flower was a flower from my scrapbook supplies with a fancy button glued in the middle. I am not going to buy flowers again as there are so many different tutorials out there to make them, but it is always good to use up supplies already purchased.

"Just A Note" Card

It is very convenient to have an all purpose card on hand. This can be very versatile because it could be used for a thinking of you card, thank you card, a reminder card, etc., etc.
Here is one I made out of scraps...

"Sending You a Hug" Thinking of You Card

I saw the cutest sentiment on a card that I wanted to try. I saw it on the "My Paper Creations" blog by Niki Estes. http://nikiestes.typepad.com/

Here is my try at it....

Inspiring Card

I wanted to make something with the "Create a Critter" Cricut cartridge my Aunt lent me. I wanted to make something with the adorable sun, so here it is.
I have always loved the quote "The future is as bright as your faith" and that is the theme I worked around. This card is bigger than the usual cards I make. It is made out of a full 8 1/2 x 11"sheet, folded in half. I usually make two cards out of an 8 1/2 x11.
