Father's Day Scrapbook Page Idea

These are Father's Day pictures from 2010. I was looking online for some Father's Day picture ideas for this year and possible scrapbook ideas and I came across a slideshow of Father's Day scrapbooking ideas  on the Scrapbooks Etc website. With one of those pages being my inspirations I went to work. I printed the journaling, the date, and the "F" brand right on to the scrapbook paper. I used Dymofont for the other accents - printed them out on card stock and pasted them on the paper. This was a quick and easy scrapbook page that turned out pretty cool.

Mother's Day Gift Idea: Woodsies Flower in Pot

I think the cutest little gift my daughter made for her grandmother's was a little woodsies flower. This is the only pic I have of it so it is difficult to see - but the paper piecing flower on this scrapbook page gives you kind of the idea.  The supplies are:
woodsies flower
woodsies leaf shapes
small woodsies heart (optional)
popsicle stick
paint
permanent marker
plaster of paris
small clay flower pot
tacky glue
moss

Directions:
1. Paint the flower pot desired colors. We painted the brim white and the base striped green and light green. It sort of looked like watermelon colors.
2. Paint the woodsies desired colors.
3. Draw on flower face with a sharpie.  Outline the leaves and stem with dotted lines if desired.
4. Mix plaster of paris according to package directions and pour in clay pot. Insert popsicle stick, making sure to leave enough of the stick above to glue on leaves and flowers. Hold until set or prop upright with books or something so it stays centered.
5. Glue flower together.
6. On the front of the flower pot write "I heart grandma"or whoever you are giving it to.
I like the look of a tiny heart woodsie for the heart.
7. Put moss on top of plaster in pot. Glue to secure.

And there you have it. A cute little gift that the little ones can help make.

8 1/2 x 11 Christmas Scrapbook Page With Gift Wrapping and Tag Idea

I have been reminiscing with past Christmases and thinking about gift wrapping that I liked. I love gift wrapping. I want the presents I wrap to be a little bit of eye candy. If it is not eye candy, then I try to wrap it in a difficult to get into way. My favorite gift wrapping idea was way back in 2004. I needed to post my scrapbooking pages to show you, as I didn't have a digital camera then.

Here is the scrapbook page that has the tag. I thought this was a cute primitive looking tag. I made the tree with my sewing machine.

Here is the scrapbook page of the gift wrapping idea. I bought storage boxes from London Drugs in three different sizes. I put wrapped gifts inside those boxes. I stacked them and tied twine to hold them together. I tied a knot with raffia and bought a primitive looking Christmas decoration to top it off.

This isn't the greatest picture as I didn't focus in on the gift. This picture doesn't show how fabulous and impressive it was. I hope this idea gives you some inspiration.

Halloween Scrapbook Page Idea

I scrapbooked these pages last year. I made the black journaling strips on my computer. I put a black journaling box on the page and typed out the words with different fonts and colors. The big "boo" and "eek" were masked on using Tim Holtz font masks. I love making the 8 1/2 x11 scrapbooks, so I like to print a lot of my pictures half the size. The Kodak printers have an option of making mini prints. I love getting two or four pictures with each mini print.

8 1/2 x 11 Scrapbook Page - Becca

Here is another scrapbook page that I used mostly scraps to embellish. The flower embellishment has two circles, a large and small, and a medium scallop circle, with a gem sticker in the middle. I cut out two leaves free hand. All edges are inked and some have drawn stitching.

Big Bro Scrapbook Page

With this page I was striving to be frugal. I went into my scraps and found these beautiful images that I trimmed around, or just cut out with a circle punch. Talk about cheap accessories to dress up a page. The title for the page depended on what tiles I had left. All three pictures were originally 4x6 pics but I cut them down to fit them all on my 8 1/2 x 11 page.

"Make Each Day Your Masterpiece" Scrapbook Page

My daughter has a gift. She is a talented artist. I find it difficult to scrapbook pages displaying her art, as I want to do them justice. I found this quote "Make Each Day Your Masterpiece" and the pages fell into place.
"Talent", "Beautiful", "Gift" and "Skill" header is made with stickers and rub ons.

Slick Chick Scrapbook Page

I have pretty much finished my 2009 album, I haven't printed any 2010 pictures yet, so I thought I would check out some pictures that were not yet scrapbooked from years past. This picture was a perfect candidate to use the "Create a Critter" Cricut cartridge that I was borrowing from my aunt. All the chicks are from "Create a Critter". For the blue, I inked up some white paper with a dark blue ink pad and dabbed it on the paper until I got the color I wanted. The numbers are from a DYMO font that I downloaded for free, and the lettering is cut from the cricut.

Twenty Two Scrapbook Page

This layout was inspired by a scrapbook page I found in the book "We Dare You: Scrapbook Challenges for Real Life". I loved the simpleness of it. The letters are cut out with the Cricut.

Birthday Scrapbook Pages

The scrapbook pages I completed this week were fairly simple. I typed the journaling and the header on my computer, tested it out on a scrap piece of paper, made some adjustments, and then printed it out on the scrapbook page paper.
On the page below, I used some leftover bits of scrapbook paper that I used for the gifts I made for my mom and sister that are pictured on this page. The page could use more embellishments but I like to be frugal with my money and my time.

"Say Cheese" Scrapbook Page

This week's scrapbook page has some pictures I had been putting to the back of my "to do" pile for a while now. These pictures came on a laminated sheet that I did not know how to scrapbook. The solution - just TRY something. The header, the camera, the cheese and the round border are all cut out with my Aunt's Cricut machine.

SCRAPBOOK PAGE

I found the inspiration for this page in a book called "We Dare You: Scrapbook Challenges for Real Life". I love the look of this page. I love how images or stamped over the picture; however, I did learn something. Not all inks are smudge free. So I went investigating on the vast library called the internet and found that I should have used an ink called "Stayz On". This was definitely a creative "try"al and a learning experience for me. I'm off to Michael's to buy some ink!
